I suppose starting with the best blend then choosing to try another flavour is always going to end in tears.
My return to DE shaving included a bowl of Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol.
Then came the shaving bowl and of course then came the cream in a tube.
The Proraso sandalwood job. Very good indeed and a nice scent experience too.
Not quite the full bhoona of the menthol experience though. But you’ve got to hand it to the Italians though, they make wonderful products.

I've bounced backwards and forwards with the Artisan shave creams but quite frankly I always end up back at Proraso Red, when all is said and done it consistently ticks all the boxes , it lathers well, it has slickness , it does nourish the skin and lastly it smells great, it's also brilliantly priced and consistently available which makes a great everyday essential. Finally, it's not pretentious and is made for the everyman type.
