I have been using Proraso pre- & post shave cream for a number of years, now, which rather speaks for itself in terms of its effectiveness: better with than without.
Personally, I have never used it as a post shave cream, so my comments are my experience of it just as a pre-shave.

Good pre shave cream

Very good texture and scent. I have a sensitive skin and it doesn't cause any irritation. It helping me to have a better shave.
